Eligibility Criteria For PMA Long Course 153
Nationality: Pakistani citizens, as well as individuals from Azad Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan.
Physical Standards:
Minimum Height: 5’4″ (162.5 cm)
Weight: According to Body Mass Index (BMI)
Education: Candidates must have completed FA/FSc with a minimum of 60% marks, or an equivalent qualification.

Selection Procedure for PAK Army Long Course
- Registration and initial selection will take place at the Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS & RC). The written test will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering subjects such as English, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies, Islamiat, and General Knowledge (G.K). Candidates who pass the academic and intelligence tests will proceed to undergo a medical examination, physical tests, and interviews at the AS & RC.
- The physical tests will adhere to the following criteria: completing a 1.6 km run in 8 1/2 minutes, performing 15 push-ups within 2 minutes, completing 15 sit-ups within 2 minutes, accomplishing 3 chin-ups within 2 minutes, and successfully crossing a ditch measuring 7.4″ x 7.4″ with a depth of 4 feet.
- Successful candidates from the AS & RC will then proceed to the Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB) for further tests and interviews. Those recommended by the ISSB will undergo a medical examination at the nearest Combined Military Hospital (CMH). The final selection will be made by the General Headquarters (GHQ) based on the candidates’ overall performance.
